* I am just sitting here blinking at the words 'Funimation will shut down April 2nd'. I am so out of the loop, it's wild.

* The new The Librarians show is about to start shooting and we know so little about it? Weeeeeird. Glad that the current WIP I am working on is the Librarians one because now-ish feels like I good time to be getting this out there.

* Bluesky no longer needs an invite so people are rushing in and I still have no idea how to use the site.

That is probably good timing on the Librarians fic!

I did get a bluesky account, just because. I know I could have just asked for an invite code, lol. I've followed a few people, but have zero idea how to use it. I guess maybe it *could* at least now fill the useful niche of Twitter in terms of real-time updating, though only if it actually takes off for that usage. But I never really "got" twitter, and I don't feel like I'm "getting" bluesky any more yet.

Early twitter was great for me. Once I had to chance accounts I never got followers again, but I will still able to use it as an efficient info source. I usually know how to at least use sights and it's features, with bluesky I got nothing

Wait, there's gonna be new Librarians?

Librarians: The Next Chapter. It will be a new cast and show on the CW. Dean somehow sold a show in the middle of the writer's strike. I don't know for sure, but I assume why John is back on Leverage is that Kate is going back to showrunning Librarians. Electric Entertainment has a lot of irons in the fire right now.

I figure if there is ever going to be an interest bump in the old show, it will be now-ish... now if I can edit this thing into shape

Yup, it's part of a merger but it's still weird that Funimation is being eaten by those two guys what used to run karaoke at anime cons.

That's a lot of what I've heard regarding twitter. Early on a lot of people made some pretty good connections... later on, it was a lot harder to do that unless you hit with something mega-viral. But, as we've talked about, it was a good place to find information out.

Bluesky... looks superficially similar to me, but having never really understood twitter, I also still don't know what to do with it, haha.

But their inventory is a nightmare as Crunchy started as a pirate site and their labelling of their stock is all over the place (something labelled a kid's film will actually have eviscerations and topless scenes). Also, a deep dive by a friend that works there uncovered a lot of items do not have the proper licenses, either.
AND some of the films will not have the rights to American music being used in the show.

Sony effed up by sticking with Crunchy instead of rolling Crunchy into Funimation.
Like those idiots that merged Kinko's and Fedex - and got rid of the Kinko's name.

Yeah, and not honoring purchases of Funimation digital copies is going to cause problems for them. It's a mess, but Crunchyroll has always been a mess
