Wips
Inspired by delphi 's post, I am going to list all the fic I am currently planning to write. Organization can help a lot.
The other night I went through all my sketchbooks and took out the pages that has good stuff, or concepts I want to complete. I went from a giant pile of tangled wire bound mess to a tidy pile of projects and lots of freed-up cardboard backing. Cardboard backings from sketchbooks is precious to me.
Anyway, time to gets my fics as organized.
1 - LOTR. The Legolas and Gimli hot springs fic. I have a lot done, good banter, I just need to figure out how to end it. It's good dialogue looking for a plot to hang on.
2 - The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai. Perfect Tommy/Rawhide gratuitous sex fic. I have a lot written. It doesn't have a plot really, but it's got some character exploration of Rawhide that I like. He's got a bit of internal arc.
3 - The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai. I want to write a fic where Perfect Tommy is trans. I've had a few plots float through my brain. Not sure which to do. I do know that I don't want it to be angsty. He is chill with himself. After all, he's Perfect.
4 - Jeeves & Wooster - Jeeves and the Kraken. It's mostly written, but the ending isn't strong enough. Not knowing how to end things is a running theme of my wips. This is a steampunk AU where Jeeves used to be an adventurer. Will be a chaptered fic.
5 - LOTR - Gimli/Legolas. Return to Erebor, sequel to Return to Mirkwood. I've written this 3 times and scrapped it each time. I have a specific idea for it and need to make it work.
6 - The Sentinel - Jim/Blair. A smutty alternate version of Down Along The Cascade Range. I wrote Down Along for Fandom Stockings and wasn't sure if my recip was going to be okay with explicit smut. I have a smut version partially written, and I like what I have so far. I need to finish it and then ban myself from writing stories than involve hot springs.
7 - The Sentinel - Jim/Blair. Something, I dunno. I was really into TS for a long time and I need to write something more. Maybe a Victorian or Steampunk AU? Maybe a casefic? IDK, but ... something.
8 - Buckaroo Banzai - Perfect Tommy/Rawhide. I know, I am on TOP of the popular and trendy fandoms. I am going to get so many kudos. Maybe even ... 5 of them!
Anyway, I am going to finish A View To A Kiss. It deals with how in the 1980s you might not even know another out queer person and how 'inclusive' spaces might not mean you.
Those are the must-dos for fanfic. I have some other wips I might add. That I haven't gotten a Jooster rail travel fic done is ridiculous.
I also have original fic in progress, but I want more of those 8 done before I buckle down on Reverse Haunting, Vashon Horror or the Urban Fantasy series I want to write. Urban Fantasy, again I am Streets Ahead when it comes to the trends.
