* Portland Night Market doesn't own the concept of night markets, and getting into all the ins and outs of people trying to ride their coattails without caring about what vibes a night market should have is making a bigger deal of it than it is. But why is one of the copycat events confusing people in the same time slot as this weekend's PNM and also why is the copycat an official event of PNW Pride?

I am going to try to hit both if I can, tho. I just may have facepalmed hard while planning out my weekend.

* The heat's broken enough that it's worth it to wash my sheets, right?

* Because the temp dropped yesterday, I went out to Mississippi Ave for a bit last night. Instead of buying anything that made sense, I bought douglas fir infused peppermint patties. Either I've lived in Portland too long or they were actually good.

I can envision piney mint being possibly good...

I've had piney flavors that I've enjoyed, sometimes including chewing on pine needles, lol. But I can also see it being a really overwhelming or overly cloying/near-perfumey flavor if done incorrectly.
