Status of my current projects now that we are in a week into November, the month were I will get some of these out the door! Obviously, not all of them, but some.
So, these are my main projects.
* Stranger Things Steve Christmas Fic - 4,812 words currently. When I was sick my brain wrote a bunch of Christmas stuff. It could have been a horrible unfocused fic on it's own, but I've gutted most of it and am making it a more focused thing. Hopefully it will be good? It's IC, but it's also me being emo about Christmas. We'll see what happens. It may have a target audience of me.
* Sharkskin - 8,066 words currently. My oldest wip where some chapters are posted. I want this done, but I am just not in the right brainspace for it. Also, when I re-read it to start work on the final bit, I realized that chapter 3 is really janky. I will finish this, but likely not this month.
* Leverage Fake Dating On A Train - 4,524 words currently. Why are there so few words? I thought I was farther along with this. I should be working on this so it's done before the new season starts, but I am working on Stranger Things Stuff.
* Steddie 6+1 fic - 8,952 words currently. I feel like I could finish this if I put other stuff aside to focus on it, but I've been trying to get other projects done. I think finishing it this month could happen.
* Steddie Halloween fic - 4,185 words currently. It's Halloween at the end of the month, right? This derailed some of my other projects and I was just going about it wrong. I like it and might finish and post it this month. It's Second October after all.
* Steddie Halloween fic prequel? - 5,159 words currently. To get back on track with my Halloween fic I decided to write how they got together for the purposes of the fic so I have the vibe right... and I have a lot. It's pretty good, it's got dialogue I like, vibes I like and smut. It just doesn't have an ending or... a point?
There are other writing projects I am very serious out, but these are the ones I am poking at for this month. This is not exactly 'on track' for where I want to be. But, I am just going to keep pushing. I am not going to think about the fact that my Christmas fic is likely the opposite of what people want in a Christmas fic.
The plan is to post an update once a week in November and see how I am doing.

Date: 2022-11-09 02:19 am (UTC)From:For the Christmas one... eh, I think a lot of people get burned out on Christmas and get sick of the constant push about it being The Most Wonderful Time of the Year or whatever. Something counter to those vibes may not be everyone's cup of tea, but it's probably the sort of thing some people would connect with much more than the standard.
