* Follow TheWrongKindOfFan on Bluesky if... how to put this.... you want to wank over Worldcon drama literally. (It's the 3D sculpt the Hugo award trophy for, ahem, personal use project.)
I think this traces back to jokes regarding AO3 winning that one year and people freaking out over using precious trademark images on stickers and stuff. Personally, I was working on buttons with a tiny drop of silver metallic watercolor that said 'My 0.0000038% of a Hugo' but I thought before I'd be able to sell them anywhere it would be a dated joke. Maybe not?
* Texas Hold 'Em by Beyonce is more country than 99% of what's come out of Nashville so far this century combined <- that is not as much of a hot take as it sounds. Nashville (the conglomerate of labels with control of most 'country' stations, the city) has been mostly putting out over-produced music that sounds more like late 90s soft rock than anything else and I am far from the only one who thinks so. They've course corrected a bit in the last year or so, but ... ehhh...
Also, it's a good song. I guess I listen to Beyonce now?

Interestingly, looks like they used clothes and photo shoot backdrops from the 2021 collab between Beyonce and Adidas. Orville Peck was a model for that line. Since they've worked together, I'd be surprised if that wasn't him.
[editing to add] Oops, yeah, that makes sense why the visuals are 2021. I think I saw the same one.
