The guy behind the AI Willy Wonka event mega-fail is one of those people selling ChatGPT novels on KU! Omg.... Sadly he has deleted his profile in shame.

Someone used AI to do the script, promo art and website text for an off-brand Willy Wonka themed chocolate experience in Scotland. The plot of the experience... the plot is about 'The Unknown, an evil chocolate maker who lives in the walls'
This is not a joke, this is the website versus the actual event. The treats kids got were between 3 and 0 jelly beans and a quarter cup of lemonade. They were supposed to get 3 jelly beans, but there weren't enough so a lot of kids got one... but even with that they ran out.
This is the first of 3 tiktoks from the Willy Wonka actor telling his story and it's amazing. It's both hilarious, but also the position the actors were put in was terrible and they really did their best. Another actor, the 'sad Glaswegian Oompa Loompa', there is a picture of her that is amazing, picture of the year... but also someone literally snapped her at her mental breakdown point and she is staying away from her phone and the internet for now. Also, the actors did not get paid as of yet.
This whole situation is amazing. Evil chocolate maker who lives in the walls... Some people are calling this 'the Fyre Festival for kids' but honestly, like Fyre Festival and Dashcon this should just be recognized as as it's own thing. Future AI fueled fails should be compared to this.

I do legitimately feel terrible for the actors, who seemed to be the only ones even TRYING to make it not suck, which was far beyond their ability, given... everything else.
Fucking hell, though. Astounding from top to bottom. It does give Fyre and Dashcon vibes, but truly it is also its own magic.
