* Follow up to my long post about finding games in Portland: I went to a mini store today that TPK recommended. I mentioned about playing there and being on the waitlist for the main plot, where you play with a set group week to week. He said that not only are they also starting a similar thing with D&D, but another new cafe is also starting up doing the game cafe model. TPK has been around a minute, ditto Mox. But Board Bard, Covert Cafe and others are super new. Like, I've recently doing photowalks in both areas and neither was there. Also, Wonderwood has been posting DM job listings.

Would it be too much to say that providing a to find games outside of Gamestorm/Adventure League is literally become a very viable business model in this town?

* What I need: at least one mini and a dice tray of my own.
What I acquired today: A dice advent calendar.

Even worse, it's a Halloween advent and I'm going to be out of town for a bunch of the the days. I might post the openings to insta as an exercise. I should have actually filmed a tiny bit of b-roll of that caution sign. One of the few shorts I shot of a PDX art thingie did decent. I need to expand/mix up my stuff a bit, do a few experiments. That way if I ever want to do something as video content, I've actually got at least some clue what I am doing.

I need to just try some random stuff, even if I don't expect anything to come of it directly, just to not have my skill sets be so lopsided.

* Also can't help but imagine what Eddie Munson's reaction to DM being a viable career path would be

DM being a viable career path is, legitimately, wild. But also makes sense, considering!
